Mini Review #1 – Game of Thrones
You’ll notice that this review is listed as a “Mini” Review. Just in case you are an idiot, that means that it is shorter than normal. Essentially you are looking at Chris and I having a random conversation about something. We didn’t decide to review it necessarily, it just happened. We talk about the entertainment industry a lot, and sometimes it is long enough to be interesting, but too short to really be a review. Thus, here you get a Mini Review. This first one is about the HBO television series “Game of Thrones”. If you’ve read our review of “Horrible Bosses”, then you know how we got onto this topic. These types of posts will be pretty sporadic, and hardly ever premeditated. So, enjoy the randomness.

Ah, TV. The answer to all our problems.
Andrew 21:01
speaking of TV, just finished Game of Thrones
excellent if I do say so myself, you should watch it
21:01
I’m the one who told you to watch it.
Like, three months ago.
21:02
So you’ve seen it through then?
21:03
Of course. We can discuss it later. We should probably get through this review first though.
21:03
Oh I thought we were done with that review
21:03
Oh, that’s cool with me, haha.
21:04
We can just move right into a TV show review lol
can I say one thing, Fuck EW
21:04
For what?
Ruining that Sean Bean died?
21:05
for giving away that Ned dies
yea, no spoiler alert or anything, just reading along and, oh whats this? a list of some sort? blah blah blah, shocking death of Ned Stark FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
I never would have seen it coming
21:07
It was one of those deaths that was so in your face that you just knew it was never going to actually happen.
Then he loses his head.
21:08
he really needs to stop signing up for characters that die early in otherwise epic franchises
21:08
Eh, it works for him.
21:08
most shows don’t kill of their main character in the first season though
21:08
He’s been good in each of these roles.
I can’t think of any show that has done that, honestly.
21:09
I will say, to the credit of the show, that I still had a pit in my stomach when they did it
it still had a massive impact even though I knew it was coming
if it was brave to do in the book, it was 10 times as brave to do in a tv series
especially since they advertised around him and everything
21:12
I think that shows how great the supporting cast is though. You feed the audience that there’s going to be this star in the show, feature him in the ads, then show them how cool the rest of the cast is so when you kill the main guy, you don’t feel like the show has to end.
21:12
yea, i feel so much hate for that kid
I want so badly for them to destroy him
although, I like the Imp, as they call him anyway
too bad he’s on the other side of things
but I’m sure he’ll get out of any danger
21:14
Oh yeah. You can’t kill the Imps. They’re like the dogs of this world.
21:15
So originally I was under the impression that this was more like a forgotten history than it was a fantasy, and then they had zombies and dragons
but I like that the “magic” type stuff is subdued, it feels more impressive because of it
21:16
Exactly. It’s Lord of the Rings for adults.
21:18
Westeros looks remarkably like Britain btw
